Waste removal

Waste removal

Our own fully licensed waste removal team collects renovation waste using tipper vehicles across South Wales. Tell us what needs clearing and send photos for a tailored quote. Collection can work out cheaper than hiring a skip, particularly where a roadside skip would need a council permit. The right option depends on the waste type, weight, volume and access; we'll confirm what's included before collection. Hazardous or specialist waste needs separate assessment.

WASTE REMOVAL / SOUTH WALES

A tipper collection instead of a skip.

Our own fully licensed team can collect your renovation waste without leaving a skip outside your home. It can be a cheaper option, especially when a skip on the road needs a council permit.

Send photos and tell us the waste type, approximate amount and access. We’ll quote for your collection; there’s no fixed saving or assumed equivalence between a tipper load and a six-yard skip. Heavy rubble may need more than one vehicle load.

Skip costs: a Cardiff example

SGM Waste Management advertises a six-yard skip at £255 excluding VAT. At 20% VAT that is £306, before any highway permit.

Cardiff Council publishes £44 for 7 days and £88 for 28 days. SGM lists these permit options excluding VAT: £52.80 and £105.60 including VAT. With its 28-day permit option, the same arithmetic is £411.60. This uses the advertised hire price unchanged: confirm the hire period and any extension charge with the supplier. A skip entirely on private land needs no highway permit, so this example starts at £306.

Elsewhere in South Wales, Newport’s published council road-skip permit fee is £63.63 for 14 days; that page does not specify VAT treatment. Fees and rules vary by council. Ask how the supplier recharges permits, as administration, VAT where applicable, parking suspensions, extra hire, delivery-area supplements and waste surcharges may add to your bill.

Published prices checked 15 October 2026. One supplier example, not a South Wales average or an SWPR price. Compare quotes for the same waste, weight, volume, loading and disposal. A tipper collection does not require a skip-placement permit when no skip is left on the highway; parking and loading restrictions still apply. Ask for waste-carrier registration details and disposal documentation.
